Kuroshio Sea
Kuroshio Sea is the name of the world's 2nd largest fish tank, located at the Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan. Kuroshio Sea holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world's second largest acrylic glass panel, measuring 8.2 meters by 22.5 meters with a thickness of 60 centimeters. The aquarium is one of just a few in the world that keeps both whale sharks and manta rays.

Fuunji
Lately I've been making frequent trips to Fuunji ramen in Shinjuku. The soup stock here is made using baby sardines which add a delightfully rich flavor. It's not open very late but an excellent spot for noodles if you are in Shinjuku during the day.

Japanese Fishermen Brace for Giant Jellyfish

(CNN) -- Giant jellyfish descend on the Sea of Japan, causing untold devastation to coastal villages and leaving a trail of destruction and human misery behind.
Sounds like a great sci-fi flick. But it's not.
It's real and a nightmare for Japanese fishermen.
