Tokyoites Commute

I recorded this video today at 8:05 AM on my way to work. The scene is Takadanobaba station, at the walkway connecting two train lines- The Seibu Shinjuku Line and the JR Yamanote Line. Watch as the majority of commuters transfer from a train arriving on the Seibu line over to the Yamanote Line- the main artery of transportation through central Tokyo. The only sounds are footsteps, not a voice is to be heard.

The Ramen Project

This is the first time I've mentioned it on my blog, but I've been working on a side project with one of my friends for a few months now. We are still in the research/photography stage of the project, but the idea is to eventually release a book on ramen in Tokyo. Here are a few teaser pics from some of our recent excursions.

Feel free to comment on the idea, any input/advice would of course be appreciated.

Stay tuned, I will upload the rest of the episode sometime soon...

The Bicycle Bible

I picked up this Bicycle magazine the other day, The Bicycle Bible 2008. Included are features on street bikers in Tokyo, San Francisco, and a preview of bikes available for sale in 2009.
