Here's a fresh batch of high school speeches from this week. The first two are from first year students.
This one is from a third year student, and arguably the worst of the bunch. "Bulifing at jamping contest". Say what? Gotta admit I loved the photo though.
Go out the main exit of Kasai Station on the Tozai line. Turn left, walk straight for five minutes. The shop will be on your left. Strong, thick, tonkotsu taste. My boy Shintarou says it's his number one ramen in Tokyo, not that high on my list but I'll put it in my top ten.
Rikimaru Toho is a professional manga reader and somewhat of a minor celebrity in Tokyo. He has been featured on MTV Japan and several other TV programs for his enthusiastic live manga reading. I've been lucky enough to see him live quite a few times in front of Shimokitazawa station, where he performs every Saturday night.
Two video clips, the first I found on youtube, the second I filmed myself.
